Head Coach Marcus Eckert was born in Abilene, Texas, graduated from Baylor University and received his Master's in Education Administration through Lamar University. He started his coaching and teaching career in Mesquite, Texas. Coach Eckert has spent the last 7 years in Frisco ISD. Before being named head coach of the Redhawks, Eckert served as the varsity assistant for 5 years. Coach Eckert is married to Jennifer, who is currently a 6th grade History teacher at Frisco Cobb Middle School. The Eckert's have a daughter named Ally. They attend church at Gateway Frisco and are involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes. |

JV Coach David Lay was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to Texas in
the 7th grade. He graduated from Ryan High School in 2003 and UNT in 2008. He
coached at Liberty Christian High School in Argyle for 2 years and taught at
Fort Worth Can Academy for 2 years. He lives in Justin with his wife Vanessa,
his two sons Braden and Emery, and his two dogs Captain and Dublin. He is a
fanatic about Florida Gators Sports and Texas Rangers baseball. He will be
teaching math and coaching basketball at Liberty this year.

Freshman Coach Devin Lemons is a graduate of Texas Tech University where received his bachelor degree in Exercise & Sports Science. Devin grew up in Pampa, Texas where he played high school football, track and basketball and was a member of the 1996 Pampa team that won the Texas 4A basketball state championship. He lettered 4 years in football at Tech as a defensive end (team captain senior year) and went on to play professionally as a defensive end for the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins and the Washington Redskins. He retired from football in 2005 and is in his 4th year of coaching and teaching at Liberty. He has ben married for 10 years to Nicole and they have two sons, Gabriel (10) and Chris (4). |

Coach Danny Melton was born in Garland and attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he majored in Kinesiology. He and his wife Merydith live in Frisco and she teaches at Clark Middle School. Coach Melton‘s 10 year coaching career began in Humble (2 years), Lewisville (1 year) and in the Frisco ISD (7 years). He will be coaching basketball and teaching at Liberty this year. His hobbies are fishing, sports, and spending time with family and friends. |
