Coach
Mari Mooneyham Harrison is a native of Frisco and she is a
voting member of the Choctaw Tribal Nation.
She attended Frisco
schools K – 12th grade and went to Frisco High School where she played on the
varsity basketball, power lifting, golf, and track & field
teams. After high school she attended
Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. While at TCU she was a member of the
Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Student Foundation, and she worked and was a student
assistant with the TCU Women’s Basketball Team. The team won a bid to the NCAA
Women’s Basketball Tournament for the first time while she was working with the
team. She continues to work closely with
the TCU Women’s Basketball coaching staff and returns every summer to work their
summer camps.
Upon graduation from TCU she came
back home to Frisco to begin her coaching and teaching career at Clark Middle
School. After her first year at Clark she
became the Girls Athletic Coordinator for 3 years before coming to
Liberty. Shortly after becoming a Redhawk,
Coach Mooneyham married John Harrison. Coach Harrison was a Liberty Girls
Basketball Assistant Coach for 4 years before becoming the Head Coach
in 2010. The Harrison’s have a yellow lab, Birdie, and a Great
Dane, Tuchena. (Tuchena means “3” in Choctaw because her birthday is March
3!)
